Even though ze's mostly talking about hir gender dysphoria, I think a lot of us feel like Neve sometimes, when it comes to our bodies.
I struggled for a long time to fit myself into the body acceptance movement, because all I kept hearing/seeing was "Love your body the WAY IT IS," and as someone who is, among other things, taking hormones to alter my appearance, I didn't know how to feel.
Then I realized that body acceptance doesn't have to mean never altering your body. If you're doing it for yourself, and it makes you happy, that IS body acceptance and self-love. Even if that means getting something like breast implants. Tattoos, piercings, healthy weight loss, or nothing at all--make yourself YOU!
Also, it's okay to feel negatively about your body, or other things for that matter. Don't let anyone shame you for how you feel--negative emotions especially aren't always something we can control, and it's totally valid to have them.
