This is why I like using traditional media. I know how to handle that shit. Not that you can't do AMAZING things with CG, because you totally can, but I can't haha.
QUESTIONS YOU PROBABLY HAVE:
1. What media did you do this in?!
- graphite pencil (outlines), watercolor, inks, salt. Salt does neat shit to watercolor.
2. Rowan tree? What?
- you'll see. If you already know the significance of rowan wood against..."supernatural"...things, then you're ahead of the game. Otherwise, Robbie doesn't know shit, either, so you can learn when he does.
Like my knowledge of Latin, I've learned all I know about the magical properties of wood from Harry Potter.
Oh man, so is their actually a supernatural element to this story? Or is it just in this dudes head?
This page is seriously epic. I love the contrast and the pose and a;sdljfaodsiga everything. <3
Hey there! I'm really enjoying this comic so far, and I really like the composition/feel of this page. It totally screams badassness and I really love how Orson is so well defined on the page. It would be cool to see that on other pages too, sometimes the characters look a liiiiittle bit blurry (ie page 3, just a bit), but that's just me. I know ink's a pain in the butt (I'm an art student as well), but it adds a really nice other dimension to watercolor, and you obviously know what you're doing. ^^ I'm really liking the juxtaposition of the supernatural with college, like two very different monsters Robbie's going to have to deal with. I'm really excited to see where this goes!! Really awesomesauce job so far. ^^
